It was a rainy night in Georgia, but American Legion Horace Orr Post 29 in Marietta, GA hosted its General Meeting on 2 February 2023 with Special Presentations from the 2022 Veterans Memorial 5K. Commander Walt Cusick, Jr. called the meeting to order after a great hour of “meeting and greeting” and an incredible dinner! He provided some history about the Veterans Memorial 5k with tributes to Tom Bell, Ed Bruce and the many members, donors and sponsors that have made this event such an incredible success over the years.
Designated charities for the Veterans Memorial event include the Shepherd’s Men SHARE Initiative; the Georgia National Guard Foundation, and the Post 29 Service Office. Donations were made to each organization in the amount of $20,000.00 from the November 12, 2022, Race!
