SAVE THE DATE! The American Legion Post 29 in Marietta, GA is hosting its

5th Annual Veterans Memorial 5K Run/Walk, 1K Run/Walk and Tot Trot on

Saturday, 25 May 2019. This is a well-organized family-friendly event with

great sponsors and a start/finish in the Marietta Square.

UPDATE: We have about 100 deployed Georgia Army National Guard soldiers that will be running the race in current time on Race Day from Afghanistan!  We will have live video feed at Marietta Square to celebrate these awesome men and women.  To sponsor a deployed Soldier for $20.00 each, please stop by Post 29 in Marietta or contact Harriet Morgan at the Clay National Guard Center (678-569-5704).  To donate online, please visit www.post29marietta.org/5krace and select Register for ways to support!

After the race, the Georgia Symphony Orchestra will perform at a Military

Appreciation Celebration in Glover Square.

 

Pre-race events will be held in Marietta to include a Post 29 Kick-Off Ride

by American Legion Riders on 27 April 2019; Wine Tasting at the Marietta

Wine Market on 11 May 2019 and a Banks & Shane Concert at the Strand Theatre

on 16 May 2019! More information on these events in the near future.
