20 MAY 2022 ‘Honoring the Military’

Published on: 5/23/2022

TODAY was a great day in the neighborhood!  The Cobb County Republican Women’s Club hosted ‘Honoring the Military” for Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day 2022 at their 20 May 2022 Meeting.  Tina Kroske, US Army Veteran, represented the Caring for America organization and designated the Georgia National Guard Foundation as its charity partner!  CW3 Amanda Justus, Foundation Officer, joined Harriet Morgan, Program Manager, for a great lunch and inspiring event.

Nancy Couch, CCRWC President, did an outstanding job and welcomed everyone to a wonderful informative program that included an Invocation by David Campbell, Chaplain US Army, Pastor, Due West Methodist Church; Honor Guard by Cobb County Police Department; National Anthem by Bryce Williamson, a Pebblebrook High School Student, and an outstanding Armed Forces Medley performed by Pebblebrook High School singers Mia Dyal, Ashley Requeno, Estefania Leggi, Bryce Williamson, and Elvis Pietrzak.

Great speakers, including Congressman Austin Scott, shared his family’s military story from WWII.  Rich McCormick, US Marine/Navy Veteran, spoke to the POW/MIA Presentation; Brad Carver, US Army Veteran, read the names of Honored and Remembered military members, past and present, recognized by CCRWC attendees and included the Georgia National Guard’s own, MG Tom Carden, Maj Gen Tom Grabowski, MG John King, and SGT Matthew Couch, as well as The Georgia National Guard Soldiers and Airmen!

Special thanks to all who “inspired, informed and included” everyone today!
