CMSgt Patrick Sullivan, U.S. Air Force (Ret) January 29, 1958-March 21, 2021

On behalf of the Georgia National Guard Foundation, we want to extend our sincere sympathy and condolences to the family and many friends of CMSgt Patrick King “Pat” Sullivan, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), from the 117th Air Control Squadron in Savannah who passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021.

The funeral will be held on Friday, March 26th, at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial and military honors to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.  The family will hold a visitation at Baker McCullough Funeral Home at 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 25th.  In lieu of flowers, the Family has generously suggested Remembrances to the Georgia National Guard Family Support Foundation, Inc. at georgiaguardfamily.org

Pat was born on January 29, 1958 at Patrick Air Force Base, FL, the son of the late William Thomas Sullivan, II and Mary King Sullivan. He was a 1976 graduate of Benedictine and continued his formal education at Armstrong State College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving honorably for 35 years. During his military tenure he was deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo. He was also an employee of the City of Savannah, where he retired after many years of service. He was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus 631. Pat was an avid Savannah Bananas fan and loved the Georgia Bulldogs and NASCAR.

Pat is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Mary S. Sullivan; children, Kerilyn S. Ninness (Ross), Patrick King Sullivan, II (Brooke), and Katie S. Kangeter (Brad); brothers, Bill, Mike, and Howard (Kim) Sullivan; sister, Mary Rahal (Philip); grandchildren, Mary Kate, Thomas, Timothy, Elizabeth, Lily, Newman, David, and Baby Girl Kangeter (due in August); nephew, William; nieces, Alexandra, Ashley, and Alyse; and beloved pets, Radar, Cookie, Lil Chief, and Mani.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1003 E. Victory Drive, Savannah, GA 31405. Burial will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.

Social distancing and masks are required at the visitation and funeral Mass.
